Great for a dinner that stretches into drinks, then more drinks. If someone is standing on the street aggressively trying to seat you, that’s your cue to walk in the opposite direction. I wouldn’t plan a special dinner here, but for quick bites between sightseeing, it’s perfect.

The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, making it an ideal place to unwind after a day at the beach. Kostas Taverna in Agia Galini is a delightful spot that promises an unforgettable culinary experience. Sit back and enjoy the sunset as you eat your evening meal.

This tiny place is my favorite budget find in Plaka. The walk uphill filters out most tourists — by the time you’ve climbed the steps, you’ve earned your meal and escaped the crowds. Go where Greeks are eating at 9-10 PM. Weekends meant a freddo cappuccino and maybe a koulouri from a street cart. Dinner runs €15-25/person at honest places. Go for sunset drinks, take the photos, soak it in. But let me tell you — that view εστιατορια παιανια is genuinely incredible, especially at sunset. Yes, the food is secondary to the view. The classic Acropolis view restaurant.

Better value than most seafood restaurants in Plaka, where fish prices can spiral quickly. Nothing fancy, nothing pretentious, just good food at reasonable prices for this neighborhood. Long-standing taverna with Acropolis views and notably better food than most view-restaurants.

I was recommended to this Taverna by my hotel (Astoria) and I had my dinner here twice, after lounging whole day on their sunbeds by the sea. The food is so fresh and tasteful, if you don’t come here, you’ll definitely miss out! Have some drinks and then go for dining
